Slough Borough Council reviewed its polling districts and polling places.
We wanted to make sure:
The maps of each ward below showed all current polling stations in the area. We invited people to let us know if and how this should change. These views were taken into account as part of the review.
There was one representation received, requesting the polling place for polling district NB be changed from Lea Nursery, Willow Road and redesignated as Upton Lea Community Hall, Wexham Road.
As no other representations were received, the remaining polling places and all of the current polling districts have remained unchanged.
The Full Council approved proposals for the polling districts and polling places on 29 September 2011.
There was also a request from St Ethelbert’s School to no longer be used as a polling place for polling district NC. This request was received after the close of the consultation period, and an alternative building is currently being sought. Once a suitable alternative has been located, a report will be put forward to Full Council for approval.
The proposals contained within the report will be effective from the publication of the Register of Electors on 1 December 2011 and will be implemented for all elections held after that date.
