Two new lit floorscapes are now part of the new paving along the High Street between the Town Square and Church Street.
Created in richly textured granite, terrazzo and slate they are under lit with fibre optics.
Carved into the floor are marks and textures inspired by patterns found within textiles from different cultures of Slough's residents.
Anne Smyth, artist and creator of the droplets said: “I think the mix of textures and materials display the unity of different nationalities living in Slough.
“My inspiration was how people from different backgrounds can come together and create a positive environment and when I was coming up with ideas for the work, I was conscious of creating something that would highlight the good feeling that already exists among local people.
“Different coloured lights run through the work so at night the piece will take on a new appearance and people will be able to appreciate it in a new way.”
Benches - which glow blue from underneath - frame the floor pieces providing a place to sit and relax.
