If you are unsure about what you would like to do or what training you need, there are plenty of organisations in Slough who will be happy to help.  Slough Borough Council also offers an Information advice & guidance service to anyone over 20 who would like advice on achieving their learning and work ambitions.
 
The following organisations can help you improve your skills and offer expert advice and guidance:

A4e - Helps improve people’s lives by providing access to training, employment and advice.

Aurat Enterprise - Promotes education amongst women from black and minority ethnic backgrounds. Particularly targeted at women at risk, recent arrivals to the UK, women with low self-confidence and at risk of domestic violence.

Berkshire Somali Community - Provides information and advice to members of the Somali community on learning opportunities and employment.

Creative Academy - Slough Creative Academy is a partnership of training providers that looks to develop capacity for the creative industries in Slough and the Thames Valley region.

East Berkshire College - Offers full and part-time courses.  Campuses in Langley and Windsor.
 
Know How Works - Information resource for people in the Thames Valley area who are 45 plus and want to return to work.

Learndirect - Offers online courses and careers advice.

Lifelong learning - Courses for adults - A range of part time courses to adults over 20.

Lifelong learning – Information advice & guidance service - Information and advice to anyone over 20 on achieving learning and work ambitions, eg career opportunities, CV preparation and getting ready for a job interview.

UK online Centres - Provides access to computers as well as help and advice on using them.

Slough Young People’s Centre (SYPC) - Free creative courses for 16 – 25 year olds in performing arts, video and music.

Thames Valley University - Full and part-time courses.  Campuses in Slough, Ealing and Reading.
