The Home Treatment Team is a specialist service staffed by community psychiatric nurses, social workers, support workers, and a psychiatrist, with the purpose of providing intensive treatment at home for people in an acute phase of illness, or experiencing a crisis, which might otherwise need admission to a psychiatric hospital.
The Community Mental Health Team provides and coordinates mental health services to those people referred to the service that are assessed as having a severe or enduring mental health need, or whose lives are substantially affected by their mental health difficulty.

The Assertive Outreach Team is a specialist service which provides intensive support to people with severe and enduring mental illness who may have a history of many hospital admissions and multiple social problems.
The approach focuses on factors that may impact on the person’s stability in the community, including finances, accommodation arrangements, activities of daily living, medication and employment.
The Therapeutic Day Unit provides sessional treatments for people with complex mental health needs.
This includes psycho-educational group work, such as anxiety management, assertiveness training, and Dialectical behaviour therapy.
Psychological therapies services offer ‘talking treatments’ which can be an alternative or accompaniment to medication.
Treatments are provided for groups or individuals by a team of clinical psychologists, clinical nurse specialists and trainees.
East Berkshire MIND runs the New Horizons day service.
It provides a safe environment for service users to engage in group activities and receive support in an informal environment.
Cascade is a counseling and advisory service for alcohol and drugs misuse in East of Berkshire.
The service is staffed by a team of psychiatrists, clinical psychologists, community psychiatric nurses, social worker, counselors and support staff.
Psychiatric Out patient department at Wexham Park Hospital provides clinics where patients can see their psychiatrist on a one to one basis, for review and monitoring of their mental health and medical treatment.
Pharmacy department of Berkshire Healthcare NHS Foundation Trust aims to provide information about drug treatments to the people who use services, and to their carers.
Their role is to ensure that all medicines supplied to mental health service users are safe, effective and offer the best treatment option.
Ward 10 is an in-patient ward at Wexham Park Hospital for people who are experiencing mental health problems that cannot be managed in their own homes.
People can be admitted voluntarily (informally), or formally under the Mental Health Act 1983.
