Public Notices

The Council must under certain legislation publish Notices for the publics’ information. These Notices relate to Orders that the Council wishes to make and usually relate to Highways and Road Traffic matters.

In certain circumstances the public may make representations in respect of the Notices. As well as being published in the Slough Observer, the Notice and any associated documents can be inspected at the following places:

Town Hall reception
My Council, Landmark Place
Slough Library

the confirmation of Colnbrook by-pass Stopping Up Order. A copy of the original Order can be viewed by contacting the Highways Department at the Town Hall
the confirmation Berkshire Avenue Stopping Up Order. A copy of the original Order can be viewed by contacting the Highways Department at the Town Hall
the Notice of Proposals for Art at the Centre High Street Traffic Management Orders
the confirmation of Stratfield Road Gating Order relating to Stratfield Road leading onto Wellington Street. A copy of the original Order can be viewed by contacting the Highways Department at the Town Hall

Stopping Up Orders

Stopping Up Orders are made under the Highways Act 1980. Each Notice for any Stopping Up Orders stipulates the time and date that the Council as Highway Authority will be making the application for the Stopping Up Order before the Magistrates Court. The effect of a Stopping Up Order is to close a road or a section of a road.
