In order to successfully promote Local Agenda 21 and sustainable development it is vital that you get involved!

Global waste and pollution are major issues but such issues need to be addressed locally to achieve results. By championing sustainability in Slough we can ensure that we and future generations in the town and across the world have the opportunity of a better quality of life.

We can promote sustainability and Local Agenda 21 by doing the following as individuals, organisations and communities:

• Further reduce, re-use and recycle our waste
• Improve air quality through better carbon management in our homes/organisations and increase our use of public transport
• Enhance and protect our green spaces through use of our parks and community clean ups
• Increase local residents involvement in Local Agenda 21/sustainability projects in the town
