Local Development Scheme

The Local Development Scheme (LDS) sets out a three-year timetable for the documents that the council will be producing as part of the Local Development Framework.

It provides a starting point for you to see what documents the council will be preparing and at what stage you can become involved.

This is the second version of the LDS and this was approved in November 2007.  The Local Development Documents to be produced over the next three years are:

• Core strategy
• The combined development control and site allocations DPD
• Supplementary planning documents (Affordable housing, developers' guide & residential extensions)

N.B. The first LDS was approved in April 2005 and has now been superceeded.  You can read the original LDS here.
