Non-automatic monitoring

Air pollution is being measured in and around Slough using diffusion tubes. This is a type of non-automatic monitoring - where samples are exposed over a period of days or weeks, before being collected and analysed.

Automatic monitoring

There are two new air pollution stations now installed in Slough. These are automatic monitoring stations, which means that measurements are made continuously. The data is sent through a telephone line each hour and you can see the most recent results, as well as older data, which is available in our archive of data.
