Slough Borough Council encourages and supports local bus services. Most bus services in Slough are run commercially by private bus companies.

Slough provides financial support to bus services to operate during evenings and weekends (when it would be unprofitable for these to run). It operates a concessionary fares scheme for those over 60 and certain categories of disabled people. It also provides the bus stops.
