Leisure facilities in the parks

The parks in Slough offer a range of leisure facilities for everyone. The parks have everything you need: from children's playgrounds to exciting opportunities for teenagers - from fields for team sports to exercise for the individual jogger.

The facilities on offer include:

• A range of outdoor sports pitches (football, hockey, cricket, bowls, tennis, netball) with changing rooms
• 34 children’s play areas in parks and plenty more in council housing areas, parish council land and at play centres
• Three skateboard parks (Kennedy Park, Harvey Park, Cippenham Recreation Ground)
• Upton Court Park offers a range of specialty facilities including:
  • Slough Rugby club
  • A jogging trail with exercise equipment
  • A motorcycle scrambling club
  • A BMX track where events are held
  • An area for model flying clubs
  • A model car racing club area

Parks are also a great recreational resource for casual play, jogging, flying kites and dog walking (we ask dog owners to use the dog bins provided), and are also used by local schools for nature and arts education.

Each year a number of special events are run by the council in Upton Court Park including the Slough Firework Spectacular event in November. Multiple facilities are available for crowd safety and comfort. Charities, companies, clubs and organisations are also able to use the event area in the park - details can be obtained from:
