Leisure facilities in the parks

The parks in Slough offer a range of leisure time facilities for everyone. The parks have everything you need from children's playgrounds and exciting opportunities for teenagers to fields for team sports and exercise for the individual jogger.

The facilities on offer include:

• A range of outdoor sports pitches (football, hockey, cricket, bowls, tennis, netball) with changing rooms
• 46 children's play areas in parks and plenty more in council housing areas, parish council land and at play centres
• 3 skateboard parks (Kennedy Park, Harvey Park, Cippenham Recreation Ground)
• Upton Court Park offers a range of specialty facilities such as the Slough Rugby club, a motorcycle scrambling club, a model flying club, and a model car racing club

Parks are also a great recreational resource for casual play, jogging, flying kites and dog walking (we ask dog owners to use the dog bins provided). Parks are also used by local schools for sports, nature and arts education.

Each year a number of special events are run by the council in Upton Court Park including the Slough Firework Spectacular event in November. Multiple facilities are available for crowd safety and comfort. Charities, companies, clubs and organisations are also able to use the event area in the park.
