Housing allocations - money to move

We can help tenants who qualify to move to a home in Slough that meets their needs from a home that is now too big for them. And you may get money to move.

To qualify you have to be:

a secure or assured tenant living in a council or housing association property
over the age of 50 (if joint tenants, one tenant must be over the age of 50)

The scheme has 3 options to choose from:

bronze
silver
gold

We do have the discretion to offer tenants who live in a 4, 5 or 6 bedroom home, a move to a 2 bedroom home, subject to the under-occupied property being in demand. However, tenants moving into a 2 bedroom home will not qualify for the gold option.
