Safer Slough Partnership

The Safer Slough Partnership is Slough's crime and disorder reduction partnership and includes the work of the drug action team.

The partnership seeks to reduce crime, anti-social behaviour and fear of crime.

It seeks to reduce the harm drugs cause to individuals, families and the wider community and create a safer environment for all those who live, work, learn, visit and invest in Slough.

In order to effectively reduce harm in 2011/12 the Safer Slough Partnership has set the following targets (baseline for all targets is year 10/11), to:

maintain the level of 'All Crime' at below 18,277 (the annual average between 03/04 and 09/10)
reduce violent crime – 12% reduction in assaults without injury, wounding and serious violence and increase the detection rate to 42%
reduce serious sexual offences – 25% reduction
reduce property crime - 5% reduction in burglary and personnel robbery and increase the detection rate to 15%
maintain the number of problematic drug users in effective treatment at 8% above the 2007/08 baseline and increase the number of drug users leaving treatment drug free by 4% from the 10/11 baseline
make sure 90% of callers to the ASB hotline are satisfied with the service they receive
