Vehicle plates

Slough Borough Council has 2 different vehicle licence plates for private hire and hackney carriage vehicles:

• white plates are for hackney carriages
• yellow plates are for private hire

All licensed vehicles should have their plate displayed at all times. This helps passengers identify that the vehicle is lawfully licensed by us. If you have any doubts about the vehicle, do not get into it. If there is no licence plate displayed it may be bogus.
