What is Extra Care Housing?

Extra Care Housing is for older people, to help them continue to live in self-contained accommodation that encourages independence.

All extra care housing tenants have security of tenure, control over finances and peace of mind that goes with having 24 hour care and support available on site.

Extra Care Housing schemes in Slough

There are two schemes:

• Northampton Place
• The Pines

Who can apply for Extra Care Housing?

Applicants must:

• be aged 55 or over with some care/support needs
• be registered with SBC’s housing register, refer below for details about the housing register
• live in Slough or have a connection with the area
