As a council we have a responsibility for improving the quality of life for everyone who lives in, works in and visits Slough. The Safer Slough Partnership aims to do this by reducing crime and the fear of crime.
Along with the police and other groups, we have produced the Slough Community Safety Strategy.
Safer Slough Partnership (SSP) is the group responsible for combating crime, disorder and drug misuse in Slough. Members include Slough Borough Council, Thames Valley Police, Slough Primary Care Trust, Royal Berkshire Fire and Rescue Service, National Probation Service (Thames Valley) and many more.
The partnership carried out an audit of crime and disorder in the borough. This enabled them to set objectives and targets for reducing crime figures. These aims are published in our first strategy - available to download below. There will be a new audit and strategy produced every three years.
