Recycling - collection sites

Residents can now recycle beverage cartons such as juice cartons at 5 sites in the borough:

The Haymill Centre, Burnham Lane
Murphys Bar car park, Parlaunt Road, Langley
The Centre, (back car park), Off Farnham Road
Tesco, Bath Road
Chalvey Waste and Recycling Centre, Spackmans Way, Chalvey

A wide range of materials can be recycled at the waste and recycling centre in White Hart Road, Chalvey including:

aluminium foil
batteries
books, CDs and DVDs
car oil
electrical/electronic goods
fridges/freezers
garden waste
gas cylinders
glass, cans and plastic bottles
metals
monitors and televisions
paint tins
paper, card
shoes
textiles
wood

If your item is of good quality (such as a computer, bric-a-brac, furniture, clothing) you may want to consider donating it to a charity or business.

Chalvey Waste and Recycling Centre is open 7 days a week (excluding Christmas day).

Opening times are from 8am to 6.45pm (April 1st – 30th September) and 8am to 5.45pm (1st October – 31st May).

A height barrier is in place. Householders in “high vehicles” or those carrying commercial waste will need to access the lower site and weighbridge. This is open from 7am – 4pm Mon –Fri and 7.30am – 4pm Saturday.

Please note: the trade site is closed on Sundays.

The council also has an agreement to use the following sites run by Buckinghamshire County Council:

Mini recycling centres

You can recycle a wide range of materials at our mini recycling centres throughout the borough.

The mini recycling centres are the place to recycle your plastic bottles - including plastic milk bottles, soft drink bottles and household cleaning bottles. Centres are listed below.
