If you are fed up with receiving junk mail then why not take action to get rid of it?
Residents in Slough can have their name taken off junk mail databases by contacting the Mail Preference Service.
Half a million tonnes of unwanted mail is posted through people’s letterboxes in the UK every year. Most of it ends up in the bin and later in a landfill site.
There are a number of simple steps you can take to protect yourself from being bombarded with junk mail. By ticking the appropriate boxes on forms you fill out, you stop companies getting hold of your address and using it to send you promotional literature.
To stop receiving junk mail register on the Mail Preference Service website.
