The citizens’ panel is a research panel of over 650 Slough residents who have volunteered to give some time to share their views with Slough Borough Council.
The panel includes people aged 16+ from all backgrounds and areas of Slough. To ensure the panel is representative of Slough as a whole, people are selected on the basis of age, gender, ethnicity, disability and whereabouts they live. The panel is refreshed with new members every three years.
Panel members are asked to complete around three to five postal questionnaires per year. They may also be asked to participate in focus groups, workshops or telephone surveys, or be sent invitations to attend council events.
Results of surveys are passed back to councillors and officers to help them understand the community and make the right decisions. You can read about the results in the recent consultations section.
