All of Slough’s elected and co-opted councillors have signed up to a local code of conduct that lays down the standards to which they should work.
The code sets out the rules and regulations from central government that councillors must abide by.
The government has also set up an independent body – the Standards Board for England – to investigate any allegation of misconduct by councillors and to take action if appropriate.
