Most meetings are held at the Town Hall in the evening. Full council meetings and planning committees generally start at 7pm. Other meetings generally start at 6.30pm.
Copies of the agenda are available on the night in the meeting room. You can ask for one in advance by contacting committee & member services on (01753) 875317 or e-mailing – councillors@slough.gov.uk. They are available about ten days before each meeting. We aim to make these available on our website where possible too.
At full council meetings you can ask questions in advance. Contact us for more advice.
The vast majority of council business is conducted in public. However, sometimes items about individuals or commercially sensitive matters are considered confidential and you may be asked to leave for these items.
Residents coming to a meeting can park in the visitors’ car park accessed off Ledgers Road. You should then walk around to the front of the building and enter the Town Hall through the main front doors (behind the flagpole). There is an intercom button on the front door. Please press this and say which meeting you are attending and you will be allowed in. Once you are inside, there are signs directing you to the council chamber and the other meeting rooms. There will always be a member of staff on duty who will be pleased to show you where to sit and answer any queries you may have.
For people with mobility problems, there are parking spaces close to the front door in the front car park accessed from the A4 Bath Road. Press the intercom button at the barrier and explain which meeting you are attending and that you need to park in the disabled bays. Please do not hesitate to contact us if you have any other special needs and we will try to help you.
