How do I reduce my council tax bill?
You can reduce your Council Tax bill by claiming council tax benefit, second adult rebate, discounts, exemptions, disability reductions and student discounts, depending on your circumstances. Ring the benefits helpline to get further advice and an application form on 01753 875348 / 875349 for further advice.
How much council tax benefit can I get?

How will the council tax benefit be paid to me?
Council tax benefit is credited to your account for the whole financial year. Should there be any changes to your circumstance please notify the benefits section immediately. Once a claim has been re-assessed you will get an new adjustment notice.
Will I be able to have all or some of my council tax paid by council tax benefit?
If you are on income support, jobseeker's allowance or a low income and you have to pay council tax bills, you may get help through council tax benefit. The actual level of benefit awarded depends on your income and personal circumstances, and whether deductions have to be made for any people who are living with you.
