Can I make an arrangement to pay the Council Tax after I have received a summons?

I have a housing benefit claim outstanding but have received a council tax summons. What will happen now?
The summons will be continued and it is up to the individual to contact the Benefits team to discuss circumstances and advised that a Summons has been issued against them.
My sister lives with me but she is in receipt of income support and I pay the bill. Can I apply for a council tax benefit?
A second adult rebate can be applied for, this can be claimed by single householders who have adults living with them on low incomes. The income of the householder is not relevant in these cases.
What can I do if my wife/husband/partner left a long time ago but their name is still on my Council Tax?
You need to provide proof of address in regards to the individual who is no longer residing at the address. Then either visit the Customer Service Centre to have your query processed or write to Council Tax on Council Tax Manager, PO Box 1733, Slough SL1 1FS.
