Does the money from the Sports Grant have to spent on a particular item?
The money is to be spent on your club's development. This does not include food or beverages. The Council will require you to do certain things to get your money but once you have got it is up to you how you spend it on development opportunities. You will need to keep receipts of any expenditure for monitoring purposes. Please contact the Sport and Health Manager on 01753 875572 for further details.
How can my club become part of Slough Borough Council Sports Grants process?
By agreeing to undertake an accreditation process led either by the Governing Body of your club's sport or that of Sport England. In addition your club will need to become an Inclusive Sports Club as part of the English Federation of Disability Sport's Inclusive Fitness Initiative and also help the Council prepare any teams that it might want to compete in competitions in that sport representing the town. Please contact the Sport and Health Manager on 01753 875572 for further details.
Will my club need to be working with additional partners to obtain a Sports Grant?
Your club will need to work with other partners - primarily your sport's Governing Body, the English Federation of Disability Sport and Slough Borough Council. Please contact the Sport and Health Manager on 01753 875572 for further details.
