What is a Personal Search (Death)?
A personal search is the facility to pay a fee of £18 which allows you to look at the Indexes only - not the registers.
The fee covers 6 hours of searching and need not be a continuous number of hours i.e. you could come to the Registrars Office on more than one day.
You can ask the Senior Registrar to confirm 8 times that you have found the entry you are looking for and you may buy as many certificates as you wish.
