Do I need a licence to place a skip on the road?
In Slough we issue licences to skip hire companies to allow them to put skips on the road. We do this to make sure that the company has the correct insurance and is aware of their responsibilities to put the skip in safe position, not damage the road when moving the skip and keep the skip lit at night. It is your responsibility to ensure that the skip company is registered with us. You can check this by ringing 01753 875635 or e-mailing highways@slough.gov.uk.
