Where can I get a copy of the current Cemetery Rules & Regulations?
Copies are available from the Slough Crematorium Office.
When I last visited the Cemetery there was a large mound of earth put on my loved one’s grave. Why is this?
When graves are dug we start by using every other one in the row (a grave space is marked by the cross on the concrete plinth). In time we go back and use the graves in between and we have to put the soil on already established graves.
Our grounds’ maintenance team do their best not to cause damage by putting boards down and removing any excess soil afterwards. Sadly this happens to all graves, especially during re-openings.
What music can we have for the funeral service?
The choice is yours. We have a wide range of music to suit most tastes, so if there is a particular piece of music you would like played please phone the office and we will see if it is available.
What is a Deed of Grant?
Proof of ownership of a plot in the Cemetery over an agreed set time.
What are the opening times of the Crematorium grounds and Book of Remembrance Room?
The chapel can be booked at half hourly intervals for both cremation and burial services: Monday to Friday 9:00am to 4:00pm, Saturdays 9:00am to 12:30pm. We operate a 24 hr a day, 7 days a week cremation and burial service at the discretion of the Registrar.
Is it possible to have a guided tour of the Crematorium?
We welcome the opportunity for people to learn more about the cremation process and thereby lay to rest any myths and legends they might have heard.
Tours can be arranged for up to 8 people at a time by contacting the Crematorium office.
I want to transfer a grave into my name. What do I do?
You should contact the cemetery office for a transfer form.
There are restriction on who can own a grave. Advice is available from the staff.
