Yes, there is range of support groups. Please contact Slough Carer's Support Service on 01628 668413 who will be able to give you detailed information regarding up to date list of support groups.

One of my children has a disability, I worry about the affect this has on my other children and the little time I spend with them. Is there any help available for my children?
Yes there is. Please contact 'Crossroads - Caring for Carers' young carer's coordinator on 01753 525 796. They provide time off for children like yours (young carers).
If your child has a learning disability please contact Mencap on 01753 543160.

Each support group is based on self help information and social contact. They have the opportunity to provide open and confidential environment where you can share your experiences, make new friends and people in similar situation.

What Groups and Organisations are available for a disabled child or young person?
Registering your child/young person on the disabled children's register will entitle you to receive a copy of the "Special Needs Information for People in Slough" (SNIPS) handbook and regular newsletters and dates of the disabled children forum.
