There's a car parked on the verge near my house can you get it removed?
If the car looks abandoned then contact environmental services. If there are single or double yellow lines on the road next to the verge our parking attendants can take action - telephone the parking shop on 01753 518989 or email parking@slough.gov.uk.
Note: If the car is on private property then the owner of the property is responsible for its disposal. Slough will do this at a cost to the property owner.
I want to put a skip/building materials on the road, how can I do that legitimately?
In Slough we issue licences to skip hire companies to allow them to put skips on the road. We do this to make sure that the company has the correct insurance and is aware of their responsibilities to put the skip in a safe position, not damage the road when moving the skip and keep the skip lit at night.
It is your responsibility to ensure that the skip company is registered with us. You can check this by ringing 01753 875635 or e-mailing highways@slough.gov.uk. Contact the Highways team and fill in the Skip Licence Application Form. The council will consider the application on merit and length of time on the road.
There's a skip/building materials blocking my road, how can I get it moved?
The contractor with the skip should have contacted Highways to get a licence to place the skip on the highway. Contact the Highways team or e-mail : highways@slough.gov.uk to report the location and type of damage. There is a web eform for reporting highway defects.
