Can I put tables and chairs on the public highway? (e.g. a restaurant or café)
Contact the highways team who assess each situation separately regarding placing tables and chairs on a public highway. If it is on private land then this is not an issue for the council. Often on wide through-fares there may be an element of paved area that is private and other that is not.
