The information on this page is presented in the format of frequently asked questions. Please click a question from the index below to see the appropriate answer.
Are residents consulted on proposed transport schemes?
Yes. The Council is obliged to consult prior to all parking and waiting schemes. As a matter of course the council consults local residents and businesses on most schemes. It is worth remembering though that consultation means collecting and listening to a variety of stakeholders. Views will be taken into consideration, but no one stakeholder or view automatically results in a decision.
Who decides which transport schemes will be implemented?
The Transport Development department within Slough with reference to the local transport plan based on the result of consultation.
Are residents informed of traffic schemes to be implemented?
The council liaises with local residents groups (so join one if you aren't already a member) and send direct letters or questionnaires regarding traffic schemes. The council welcomes written or email correspondences against a specific scheme. parking@slough.gov.uk. If you are a local resident of an area you are likely to have been informed already of proposed schemes in your areas. However, if you wish to find out the state of a scheme then contact E-mail: transportdevelopment@slough.gov.uk
