How do I tell if a car is abandoned?
Often the car or other vehicle has not moved for a long time. Perhaps it is parked somewhere it has never been seen before. Other signs are:

I don't want my car anymore, will you take it away?
The council will dispose of your car, as long as you provide your log book to prove it is yours. There is a fee of £42 for this.
Do you refer untaxed vehicles that have an owner to the DVLA?
The council refers all untaxed vehicles to the Driver and Vehicle Licensing Agency (DVLA). All untaxed vehicles will be treated similarly to abandoned vehicles. They will be removed and their owners will be charged for the tax, collection and disposal.
