How much long term care am I entitled to?
Young people accomodated at Mallards in Slough can in some cases remain in the unit until their 16th birthday, however, if they go on to further education, Mallards will give them ongoing support within the unit until the age of 18.
If you have a social worker already assigned then please contact them for further information.

Please note that every disabled child is entitled to an Assessment.
What types of long term care are available?
When young people accomodated at Mallards reach age 16 and do not want to undertake further education, they can be referred to semi independence units within the community until their 18th birthday.
If you have a social worker already assigned then please contact them for further information.
