The following pay scales, based on local and national local government negotiations, are used at Slough Borough Council.
Appointment to a job with the council is usually to a particular grade within the relevant pay scale. Progression through a grade is based on factors such as skills, experience, qualifications, performance and length of service. The grade and relevant salary scale for a particular job is identifiable either through the advert or accompanying literature.
