What are the arts promoted and supported by the council?
Arts Development's definition of the arts is highly inclusive encompassing a wide range of art forms such as dance, drama, digital arts, literature, media, film, music, photography, visual arts and crafts.
Where can I get general information about the arts in Slough?
There is an events listing on the back of the arts info newsletter which is available electronically on our Arts Web site. This is also available from local venues and people can join the mailing list to receive this for free.

arts info supports and promotes the arts in Slough and has a wide range of information including funding support, resources and an online directory of artists.
What is the West Wing?
The West Wing is Slough's premier venue for entertainment, theatre, comedy and music performances, and can also be booked for corporate events and conferences.

How can I get to the West Wing?
By train we are a 10-15min walk from the train station in the centre, there are regular connections from Paddington, Heathrow, Windsor and Reading.
By car or bus the West Wing is situated within easy reach of the A4, M4 junctions 5 & 6, M25 junction 4b and M40 junction 2, 1a. There are regular buses from the Town Centre along Stoke Road.
Does the West Wing provide parking facilities?
The West Wing has ample FREE car parking and reserved spaces for Disabled Badge Holders.
Please do not park in the Disabled bays unless you have a permit.
Does the West Wing provide disabled access?
The West Wing is fully accessible.
The building has ramped access, allocated parking spaces and adapted toilet facilities.
The auditorium is fitted with an infra-red receiver which enables customers with hearing impairments to fully enjoy all performances.
Spaces will be reserved during performances for wheelchair users.

How will the seating for a West Wing performance be allocated?
West Wing tickets will be allocated a seat number unless the event is unreserved.

What method of payments do West Wing accept when a booking is made?
We accept the following methods of payment:
Booking by credit or debit card is subject to a 50p transaction per ticket.
Tickets can be held at the theatre or we can post them to you directly at a cost of 50p.
What will happen if I arrive late for a West Wing performance?
Latecomers will not be seated until a suitable break in the performance.
The management will reserve the right to refuse admission.
Can I get a refund on my ticket for a West Wing performance?
Tickets for a performance at the West Wing may not be refunded unless a show is cancelled or postponed.
Can I make reservations for a West Wing performance?
We are happy to reserve tickets for a West Wing performance up to the week before the performance.
Reserved tickets must be paid for within 5 working days.
Tickets not paid for within 5 days will be released.
Can tickets for a West Wing performance be exchanged?
West Wing tickets may be exchanged up to 48 hours before the performance.
There is a £1.00 administration charge.
Does the West Wing offer discounts on group bookings?
We offer one free ticket to groups of 10. Please check with the Box Office staff when booking as this offer does not apply to all events.

I am an artist looking for professional development training, do the council offer such training?
Arts Development runs as series of professional development training for artists covering a range of topics including presenting yourself and your work, going freelance, working with young people and getting started in public art.
Courses are advertised on our arts info website and in arts info newsletter plus leaflets.
I am looking for an artist in the area or am an artist looking for employment in the arts, where might I find more information?
Search the online directory of artists on the arts info website which has a searchable directory of professional artists who live or work in Slough. This can be searched by art form or client group.
It is free for artists to join the directory - just complete the online form.
I am looking for training in community arts, do the council offer such training?
Arts Development run the annual Community Arts Training in Slough (CATS) which is a practical course that equips participants with the skills and knowledge to run arts projects in the community.
To find out log onto the arts info website or look in arts info newsletter or leaflets that will be distributed before the course.

Is fundraising support available for arts projects in Slough?
The arts development team provide one to one support and advice to help Slough based individuals, voluntary and professional arts organisations write funding applications for arts projects in the town.
