The supporting people service provides housing related support services to vulnerable people in Slough to help them live more independently. We do this by funding and working with organisations which provide support services to those in need.
This is the name given to services that help people to live independently in their home. This includes:
These services complement the available care services, but do not include personal or home care such as bathing laundry or preparing meals.
Supporting people services can help many different people in the community including:
Most people are referred by organisations such as social services, health services, housing providers or local advice services. If you are not in touch with any referral service you can contact the supporting people team for advice and information. Your needs will be assessed by a support provider.
There is a local directory of services available online which will tell you how you how to get in touch with the services.
