Diversity describes the range of differences that exist between people. Some of them are obvious although some are not.
They may include such factors as gender, age, background, ethnicity, religion, disability, personality and lifestyle.
Harnessing these differences will create a productive environment in which everybody feels valued, where talents are fully used and organisational goals are met.
It is the diversity and equalities team's role to develop, promote and sustain the diversity agenda within Slough. We consult and work with other council departments and the community. For further information on our role and purpose click here. Contact us by email policy@slough.gov.uk or telephone 01753 875069.
