Equality Report 2012

Local Authorities are required in accordance with Section 149(1) of the Equality Act 2010 to publish, by 31st January 2012, data to demonstrate the organisations’ compliance with the Public Sector Equality Duty. 

This report sets out equality data about Slough Borough Council’s staff and service users and is to provide as complete a picture as possible across all three ‘general duties’, covering as many relevant functions as possible and in relation to the protected characteristics.

Workforce Monitoring Statistics

The council undertakes a range of monitoring to ensure its human resource processes and procedures are effective and do not unlawfully discriminate.

Full statistical monitoring information is regularly reviewed by the:

• council’s strategic director of human resources
• council’s corporate management team
• councillors through the council’s employment committee
