The local education authority (LA) is keen to attract people from the community who can serve on governing bodies and can bring experience and fresh ideas.
Governors don’t need to be parents, or teachers or have experience of working in education, we are looking for people who:

The LA provides training on the roles and responsibilities of governors and induction for new governors is usually arranged every term. Becoming a governor offers challenges and rewards. You could be joining the largest volunteer group in the country – and helping to make sure Slough children are getting the best their schools can give.
