Our housing strategy is a five year plan, setting out the council's shared vision and priorities.
The key themes running through the strategy are quality and choice.
Sufficient, good quality, affordable housing set in thriving communities is crucial to the continued success of Slough, its economy and, most importantly, the quality of life of the people who live here. This strategy sets out the challenges we face and our priorities for tackling them. It puts housing at the heart of Slough’s future contributing to wider improvements in health, educational attainment and social inclusion.
Central to this strategy must be the people who live in Slough – they need to be involved in setting the priorities, identifying the solutions and monitoring the performance. It’s their town and residents know what is needed and what could be done to improve local communities and their own quality of life.
