Providing support and information for parents and carers, especially those who have children with special educational needs
The service provides support and information to parents and carers especially those who have children with special educational needs (0 to 19 years old).
The aim of the service is to ensure parents of children with special educational needs, including the very young, have access to guidance in relation to the educational needs of their children so that they can make appropriate informed decisions. It helps to promote the parent's view, develop the skills of those working with parents through training and seeks to resolve any disagreements.
There is a telephone helpline service with a voicemail facility, which is available to all parents.
