Ordering a memorial

Purchasing a memorial from the cemetery and crematorium office

Headstone, splayed template or additional inscription to a memorial stone

If you wish to place a headstone or splayed tablet or add an additional inscription to a memorial stone your stonemason needs to complete an application for approval of monument or gravestone, and inscription on cremated remains graves form and the owner of the grave/crem plot needs to sign to give permission for the work to be done. It needs to be returned to the cemetery and crematorium office together with a cheque for £60 made payable to "Slough Borough Council" for approval by the registrar.

After this the stonemason can carry out the work.

Memorial Bench

If you wish to purchase a memorial bench that can be placed in specific areas within the grounds of the crematorium for a period of 10 years (renewable) you will need to complete a bench plaque application formand return it to the cemetery and crematorium officetogether with a cheque for £500 made payable to "Slough Borough Council".

The price includes the bench and the plaque. If the bench or the plaque get damaged they will be replaced free of charge.

Book of Remembrance

If you wish to put an entry in the book of remembrance please complete a book of remembrance application form and return it to the cemetery and crematorium officewith a cheque for the appropriate amount made payable to Slough Borough Council. This is a permanent memorial and therefore does not need renewing unlike the other crematorium memorials. You can put a floral emblem, badge, crest or small illustration.

Mini Granite Memorial Desk & Plaque

If you wish to purchase a mini desk and plaque that can be placed in the garden of remembrance at the crematorium for a period of 10 years (renewable) you will need to complete a minigranite memorial desk & plaque application formand return it to the cemetery and crematorium office together with a cheque for £320 made payable to "Slough Borough Council".

The price includes the plaque and flower bowl. If the plaque or the flower bowl get damaged they will be replaced free of charge.

Memorial Paving Stone

If you wish to purchase a memorial paving stone that can be placed in the garden of remembrance at the crematorium for a period of 25 years (renewable) you will need to complete the paving stone application form. Return it to the cemetery and crematorium office together with a cheque for £370 made payable to "Slough Borough Council".

Wall Plaque

If you wish to purchase a wall plaque that can be displayed in the hall of Remembrance at the crematorium for a period of 5 years (renewable) you will need to complete a wall plaque application form. Return it to the cemetery and crematorium office together with a cheque for £110 made payable to "Slough Borough Council".

Posy Vase

If you wish to purchase a posy vase that can be displayed in the book of remembrance chapel at the crematorium for a period of 5 years (renewable) you will need to complete a posy vase application form. Return it to the cemetery and crematorium office together with a cheque for £110 made payable to "Slough Borough Council".

Memorial Rose

If you wish to purchase a rose tree and plaque planted in the gardens of remembrance for a period of 5 years (renewable) you will need to complete a memorial rose application form. Return it to the cemetery and crematorium officetogether with a cheque for £160 made payable to "Slough Borough Council".

If the rose tree dies or the plaque breaks they will be replaced free of charge.

Granite Memorial Desk & Plaque

If you wish to purchase a desk and plaque that can be placed in the garden of remembrance at the crematorium for a period of 10 years (renewable) you will need to complete a granite memorial desk & plaque application form. Return it to the cemetery and crematorium office together with a cheque for £280 made payable to "Slough Borough Council".

The price includes the plaque and flower bowl. If the plaque or the flower bowl get damaged they will be replaced free of charge.
