The Local Plan for Slough sets out policies to control development and to provide a framework for co-ordinating and directing development and the use of land up to 2006.
The Local Plan was adopted by Slough in March 2004. The plan, including the proposals map, is available in PDF format below. The policies of the Local Plan comply with the Berkshire Structure Plan which was adopted in 1995 and altered in 1997, as well as regional and national planning guidance.
Please note that the Core Strategy 2006-2026 policies are now also a material consideration for all planning applications. See link below for further details.
Saved Local Plan Policies
Under the planning legislation, the policies in the Local Plan for Slough were only saved until September 2007. In order to extend the life of selected Local Plan policies the Council submitted a list of the policies it wanted to be saved beyond this timeframe to GOSE in March 2007.
A total of 87 out of 140 Local Plan policies were therefore proposed to be saved. In September, the Secretary of State confirmed that all of the requested Slough Local Plan policies had been saved. Details of the saved (and deleted) policies are provided below.
