The council requires all street trading activities to be licensed. This ensures that we can monitor any hazards that may affect street users. Street cafe licenses cover cafes and restaurants that want to serve food and drink to patrons seated at tables on the street.
To apply for a licence you will need to download, complete and return the street café application form to Highway Engineering, Town Hall, Bath Road, Slough, SL1 3UQ. You will also need to enclose your application fee of £200. Cheques should be made payable to Slough Borough Council. Details of the information required to support the application are on the application form itself.
When you apply for a licence a council officer will assess the site and determine the application.
The licence must be renewed at least once every two years at a flat rate fee of £200.
