Berkshire Record Office stores records relating to Slough Borough Council and the county of Berkshire and its people, and makes them available for research.
Berkshire Record Office is funded by the six local councils in Berkshire - Bracknell Forest, Reading, Slough, West Berkshire, Wokingham and the Royal Borough of Windsor and Maidenhead.
The Office is managed by Reading Borough Council on behalf of the other authorities. West Berkshire Council is the authority responsible for the archive collections.

The office is closed on Mondays, Saturdays and Bank Holidays. Also for stocktaking, normally during the first fortnight in November.

Anglican Church records and other records relating to Slough can be obtained from The Centre for Buckinghamshire Studies.
Slough Library's Local Studies Collection also holds copies of some local parish and other records, as well as other material on the history of Slough and the district.
