Pavement Parking

It is an offence to park on a footway, whether there are yellow lines on the road or not. Pavement parking can be inconsiderate to other road users  and is often dangerous, especially where it means that pedestrians are forced to walk in the road.
 
In a very limited number of places, where there is a high demand for parking, the council has introduced areas of pavement parking. These areas are clearly marked and signed, in order to prevent confusion.
