Hairdressing licences

Section 19 of the Berkshire Act 1986 requires the local authority to maintain a register of hairdressers and barbers within the borough.

Any individual full-time or part-time or any premises operating as a hairdresser or barber is required to register with the local authority.

To register you will need to download, complete and return the 'Application for Registration as a Hairdresser or Barber and for Registration of Premises where business as a Hairdresser of Barber is carried on' form.

You will also need to enclose a one-off registration fee of £25 with your application.
