If you have become a resident as a patient in a hospital or nursing home, you may be entitled to a discount or exemption from your council tax i.e. that establishment has become your sole or main residence.
If there is an intention to return to your normal home then you will not qualify.
If you believe that you are entitled to this reduction please download the 'Council Tax: Application for a Discount/Exemption for Patients in Hospitals/Nursing Homes' form and complete and return it to Council Tax Section PO Box 1733, Slough, SL1 1FS. Alternatively you can hand it in to the Customer Service Centre.
