Where there are two adults residing in the dwelling one of whom is aged 18 but still in receipt of child benefit payment the liable person may be entitled to a discount on their council tax. Only people liable to pay the council tax can apply for the discount.
If you believe that you are entitled to this reduction please download the 'Council Tax: Application for a Discount for Persons aged 18 years' form and complete and return it to Council Tax Section PO Box 1733, Slough, SL1 1FS. Alternatively you can hand it in to the Customer Service Centre.
Failure to provide the full information requested may delay the application being assessed.
