Property alteration by tenant

Sometimes tenants decide that they would like to alter the current layout of their council property. 

This cannot be permitted without applying in writing to the housing office for permission detailing what your intentions are. We will not always agree as sometimes the proposed alteration could leave the premises in a structurally unsafe condition.

You can apply in writing to your housing officer who will discuss funding this work with you.
