The Public Protection team send out questionnaires to businesses and residents whenever they have provided a service – whether it’s pest control, a trading standards or environmental health inspection.
From April 2008, as part of the new National Indicator set, all local authorities are required to send out a questionnaire that asks for two responses to the following questions:
In each case, the person who receives the questionnaire has to make a response in one of 5 categories, ranging from strongly agree down to strongly disagree.
The responses are put into a table. At the end of the year we have to advise the Government what the answers to the two questions are.
